| Cheese White Wine Casserole | |||||||
| 6 tablespoons butter 1 clove garlic, crushed (or garlic powder to taste) 4 slices white bread, toasted 6 eggs 1/2 cup cream 1/2 pound (8 ounces) Swiss cheese, grated 1/2 pound (8 ounces) Monterey Jack cheese, grated 1/2 cup dry white wine 1/2 cup chicken broth or bouillon 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon paprika Cream butter and garlic. Spread on toasted bread. Arrange bread in casserole, buttered side down. Beat eggs until foamy. Add cream and beat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour over bread. Bake in oven, preheated to 350 degrees, for 30 minutes or until firm, puffed and brown. |
