Cherry Coca Cola Salad
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1 small can cherry pie filling
2 (3 ounce) boxes cherry gelatin
1 (2 pound) can crushed pineapple, not drained
1 can coca cola
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped nuts

TOPPING:
8 ounces cream cheese
1 small container Cool Whip
1 small package chopped nuts
1 cup powdered sugar

Heat sugar and water to boiling. Add cherry pie filling and bring to a boil again. Pour over gelatin, stirring to dissolve. Add pineapple and juice, coca cola, lemon juice, and nuts, mixing well. Pour into 13 x 9 inch pan; chill. Let Jello set before adding topping.

Topping:
Blend cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whip cream. Spread on top and garnish with nuts. Chill again.
