| Creamy French Silk Pie | |||||||
| 1 pie crust (ready to bake) 1/4 cup sugar 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1-1/2 cup milk 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips, divided 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cup whipping cram 2 tablespoons powered sugar Whipped cream or cool whip Bake pie crust according to package directions. Cool. In medium saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Add mile and cook on medium heat until it boils. Reserving 1 tablespoon chocolate chips, add the rest to milk, sugar and cornstarch mixture. Stir until the chips melt. Add vanilla and mix. Cool to room temperature. In a large bowl mix the whipping cream and powdered sugar until it makes soft peaks. Beat cooled chocolate mixture until fluffy and fold in whipping cream. Spoon evenly into baked pie shell. Top with whipped cream and rest of chocolate chips. Chill thoroughly before serving. Makes 6 servings. |
