| Tortellini Bolognese | |||||||
| 1 (9 ounce) package cheese tortellini 1 tablespoon oil 1/2 pounds ground round (cooked and drained) 1/2 medium onion, diced 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 1/4 cup red wine (you can use chicken broth) 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms 1/4 teaspoon basil 1/4 teaspoon oregano (or thyme) Salt and pepper to taste Prepare the tortellini as directed. Place the oil in a large fry pan and brown the ground round, onion and garlic powder. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5-15 minutes on med/low heat. If not ready to serve you can simmer it longer. |
