Banana Bread Pudding w/Chocolate Sauce
1/4 cup butter
4 cups cubed 1-inch French bread
3 large eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 medium (1 cup) bananas, sliced 1/4-inch
Chocolate ice cream topping

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 2-quart casserole in oven (4 to 6 minutes). Stir in bread cubes.
Place eggs in medium bowl; beat lightly. Stir in all remaining pudding ingredients except bananas. Stir in bananas. Pour egg mixture over bread cubes; stir to coat. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. To serve, spoon chocolate topping over each serving of warm pudding. Store refrigerated.
