1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon soda
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup honey
2-3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
Mix together the shortening, egg, lemon extract, soda, sugar, honey, flour, and salt. Chill dough for at least 2 hours. Roll the dough out and cut into Christmas shapes using cookie cutters.
Sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
