2-1/2 cups sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
4 tablespooons milk
6 cups flour
4-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Sift flour, baking powder and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Divide dough in half and chill 1 hour. If you wish to color the dough, you may do so before chilling. Roll out to 1/8 inch thickness and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
