Popcorn Macaroons

1 cup unpopped popcorn
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
3 egg whites
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Pop popcorn and remove all unpopped kernels. Put popcorn in blender and finely chop. Combine in a bowl with nuts. Beat egg whites until foamy, then add sugar and beat until stiff. Blend in vanilla and mix carefully with popcorn and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Makes 5 dozen.
