| Chocolate Pecan Brittle | |||||||
| 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup pecan halves 1 tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate pieces Combine sugar, corn syrup and salt in 1-1/2 qt glass bowl or casserole. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes. Stir in pecans. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring every 2 minutes. Add butter, vanilla and chocolate; stir until chocolate is melted. Pour mixture onto greased baking sheet, spreading as thin as possible, using 2 forks. Cool and break into small pieces. Makes about 1 pound. |
