Chocolate Cake
4 squares unsweetened choclate
1 stick margine or butter.....Melt together over low heat
1 cup water
2 cups sugar.....Add and cook until shiny and sugar is dissolved. Let chocolate mixture cool.
2 eggs......Mix well into chocolate mixture

2 cups sifted cake flour with a pinch of salt

1/2 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons baking soda.....dissolve in butter milk

Alternate flour mixture and buttermilk when mixing into chocolate mixture beginning and ending with the dry ingredents. Mixture will be very thin.

Coat 13" x 9" dish with shortening and cocoa. Bake at 325 - 350 degrees for 25 minutes. This is one of the moistest cakes you will ever eat. 

Icing
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 stick margine or butter........Melt in pan; cool slightly.

Add 1 egg (or egg substitute equal to one egg)......mix well
Add sifted powdered sugar until thick.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. 

If too thick, add a small amount of water.
