Apple Cheese Bread
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 large apple, peeled and chopped into 1/4 to 1/2-inch pieces.
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix the butter and sugar together, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs. Stir in the chopped apples, grated cheese and chopped walnuts. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Gently stir the dry ingredient mixture into the apple mixture. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan. Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
