Home-Style Beef Brisket
1- envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix
3/4-cup water
1/2-cup ketchup
1-teaspoon garlic powder
1/2-teaspoon ground black pepper
3-pounds  brisket of  beef (fresh not corned)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In 13 x 9-inch baking dish or roasting pan, add onion soup mix blended with water, ketchup, garlic powder and peper. Add brisket, turning to coat with soup mixture. Loosely cover with aluminum foil and roast 3 hours or until brisket is tender. Thicken the juice to make gravy, if desired.

Makes about 8 servings.
