Beef ala Beer
6 medium onions, sliced in half; then sliced thin
1/2 cup flour
4 pounds boneless chuck, cut in 1/2" cubes
3 tablespoons oil
2 cans (10-1/2 ounce) chicken broth
1 can (12 ounce) beer
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1 cup chopped parsley
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon thyme
2 teaspoons pepper
2 bay leaves

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Put flour and meat cubes in a sealed bag (or large bowl) and shake to coat well. Heat oil in a Dutch oven and add meat cubes. Cook until browned. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Transfer to the oven and bake for 3 hours. Serve with rice or noodles.
