To begin, I will accept you just as you are, and never try to change you, you must be willing to do the same, even if I have habits that you dislike.  I will love you unconditionally, please do the same for me, after all, real love cannot exist, if we place rules and restrictions on it. |

as closeness cannot exist without honesty, let openness and honesty be our foundation, a lasting friendship is not built on lies.  Sometimes I may say or do something, that upsets or hurts you, please believe me when I say I am sorry, I would not set out to hurt you intentionally. |

Please don't ignore me, or hide from me if I have offended you, I cannot say I am sorry, if I do not know that something is wrong.  Don't be afraid to tell me how you feel, I will do my best to be understanding, but please remember not everyone, sees things the same way you do.

Sometimes you may think I don't care, but please be assured this is not so, it is just that I may also have a problem, that I am working through.  Please try and treat me kindly as I will you, careless words and deeds can hurt deeply, any unkindness must be remedied quickly, to avoid further pain and misunderstanding. |

I will spend as much time with you as I can, but sometimes other things need my attention, show me some patience at these times, I promise I have not forgotten or abandoned you.  Let us share as much as we can, and do things for one another, but remember it does not mean I don't care, just because I may sometimes say no.
