I know it's been a little while since
you've seen me around here.
I think you know without it said,
it's been quite a rough year.
But I want to take the time to say
a special thanks to you.
For all the care you've offered me
and all the things you do.
I always knew you were standing
close with lots of love and care.
With a ready hand and a patient ear
and laughter ready to share.
Thank you for that part of you
That you give away so free.
Thank you for the friendship offered,
accepted and cherished by me.
